LITC Update: The Return

Hello everyone. Long time, no see.

It’s been four long months since I’ve done anything on this blog (or writing in general), and I’m not sure I can explain why. Every day for months I’ve sat here at my desk, staring at a blank page, trying to find the inspiration and  creative side that’s normally come so easily to me. Whether that’s due to my own laziness or my brain just being a jumbled mess, I feel like I’ve let myself down.

While I don’t think I necessarily owe anyone an apology, it’s really important to me that I give one anyway. I’m incredibly sorry for disappearing from both the blog and my videos. Hopefully I can make up to you guys in the months and seasons to come with some great new content across the board. It’s been a tough stretch for me creatively, and as you might’ve seen yesterday, I’ve finally busted the slump and I couldn’t be happier.

So What Now?

Now that I’ve found my voice again, it’s time to talk about the future.

For starters, I’ve officially changed the blog’s web address to lachinthecrease.com, after running with the WordPress address for the last year and a half. I might not be a professional writer yet, but that won’t stop me from have a professional (sounding) website!

There’s obviously still a lot of hockey news left to cover, with the Expansion Draft, Entry Draft, and Free Agency coming up. I currently working on a Canucks expansion plan article that’ll be out this week, and a few other pieces surrounding the next few weeks of chaos ahead.

But once the news dies down in early July, I’ll be dedicating most of my time during the summer working on new content for next season. I definitely want to go back to doing videos next year, and a lot of this offseason will be dedicated to accomplishing that. My biggest disappointment of the year was not getting past Game 20 of the Lach Talks Canucks videos, and I really want to make sure that doesn’t happen again next season.

I’m seriously tossing around the idea of doing a new podcast next season, but that might be difficult without a co-host. I had a lot of fun working on the podcasts at the Oak Leaf last year, and I’d love to bring that format over here in the future.

That’s all for today. Thank you so much for continuing to support the blog, especially during the last four months. Hopefully I’m able to reward your loyalty and bring you some great content throughout the summer and far into next season. Cheers! – Lach
