All for a Cup of Ko-fi

As a person who lives with the daily struggles of ADHD, there might not be a more valuable player in my writing career than coffee. While regular people tend to get jittery after a cup of joe, my already-hyper brain has the opposite reaction; coffee helps my mind slow down and focus on whatever task is at hand. When one of my articles pops up on your computer screen, you can bet there were multiple shots of espresso that got it there.

With that in mind, recently I found about a creator program called Ko-fi.

Ko-fi is a service that allows people to give money to content creators whose work they enjoy, all for the same price of your average Tim Hortons latte. A Ko-fi costs $3 and you can buy as many as you want at any time with no long-term commitments. Even though a $3 donation may seem small, it all adds up to help creators devote more time working on the projects you (and they) love.

For myself, the amount of time I have for writing is small, since I also have to work my normal day job and go to school at the same time. Couple that with the analogy of coffee priced donations being too good to pass up, and I decided to start my own Ko-fi page.

So if you enjoy my writing work and have a few bucks to spare for a cup of coffee every now and then, go to http://ko-fi.com/lachinthecrease (or the button) to send one my way. You’d be giving me a chance to devote more time to the blog and my work on other sites, along with earning my eternal appreciation for helping me move forward in my career.

Thank you so much for your time, and I hope to see you at the (digital) cafe!
